A construction worker who was very seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident whilst travelling to work has been awarded over £300,000 in compensation. 37-year-old Nick Brancher has been awarded compensation after he was involved in a head-on collision with another car in April 2013. A whiplash scam was recently uncovered after a lorry’s on-board video footage was released, showing that the car swerved out in front of the lorry intentionally. The driver of the car filled out four whiplash claims for the individual passengers, totalling £75,000, following the supposed ‘accident’. The speed limit of a stretch of road in Cambridgeshire has been temporarily reduced after six accidents were reported there in a window of six days; in one of which a man died.
